Aperitivo Italiano
Un vocale, un invito, una terrazza.
A voice note inviting a friend out for an aperitivo, and the warm spoken reply that accepts. Where an Italian evening usually begins — and the easiest invitation to learn to accept.
The Italian that arrives as a voice note — warm, quick, unedited, and nothing like the one in the book.
Six recordings from ordinary Italian life. You hear them, you read them word by word as they are spoken, and the files are yours to keep.

Real Conversations begins exactly there. Each lesson is one genuine moment of Italian life — a voice note to your mother from the market, an invitation to an aperitivo, a whole evening at an osteria — with the Italian text lighting up word by word as it is spoken, until the sound and the word finally meet.
Not exercises written to teach a rule. Real moments, recorded the way they actually sound — for learners who already have some Italian, not for absolute beginners.
Un vocale, un invito, una terrazza.
A voice note inviting a friend out for an aperitivo, and the warm spoken reply that accepts. Where an Italian evening usually begins — and the easiest invitation to learn to accept.
Una cena all'osteria.
A whole evening at a small, elegant osteria — the welcome, the menu, the ordering, the wine, the bill — captured as it really sounds between the table and the waiter.
Una mattina nel quartiere.
A long, warm voice note to mum while walking through the neighbourhood, doing the shopping shop by shop — and everything you need to step inside each one, in Italian.
Una giornata per negozi.
A small Italian ritual: telling a friend about the shopping you have just done. Sizes, colours, what you tried on, what you left behind.
Perdersi e ritrovarsi in città.
One voice message containing all the directions for a friend arriving tomorrow. Asking the way is the easy half — this is the other half: understanding the answer.
Un fratello, un matrimonio, dodici mesi.
A long voice note to a brother who has just announced his wedding. Dates, plans, months and the particular warmth Italians reserve for family news.
One conversation in three forms — watched, heard, read — and then worked through.
The recording — one real conversation, in Italian, at the speed it is actually spoken
The karaoke video, where every word lights up exactly as you hear it
The same recording as audio alone — for the car, the walk, the kitchen
The full transcript, with a natural English rendering beside every line
Vocabulary notes — only the words actually used, and only the ones worth a closer look
Cultural notes — the customs sitting underneath the words
Twelve activities, from gentle to genuinely challenging
All the answers at the back, so you can correct yourself

A single private lesson with me is $200. This is six of them — and they stay with you, to return to whenever the language slips.
This is not a beginner course. You need some Italian already — roughly A2 to B1: the present tense, numbers, enough vocabulary to order a coffee and follow a simple exchange. From there the recordings will feel fast, which is the point: every word is written in front of you and translated, so nothing runs away from you. If you are starting from nothing, begin with the free guide.
The moment your payment goes through you receive an email with your access link. Everything lives in your own private area on this site — no app to install, no password to invent.
The worksheets and the audio files are yours to download and keep, personalised with your name. The videos play in your private area, so they stay where they belong.
The worksheets and the audio files download to your own computer on the day you buy them, and from that moment they are simply yours — no expiry, nothing anyone can switch off. The videos play in your student area, which is guaranteed for at least two years from your purchase and in practice stays open for as long as the course is offered. Were it ever withdrawn, you would have at least 60 days' notice and the chance to download everything first.
The conversations are entirely in Italian — that is the whole point. Everything around them, the notes, the explanations, the answers, is in English.
Because the whole course is delivered the instant you buy it, it cannot be returned. Which is why this page tells you exactly what is inside, and why the section above is honest about who it is not for. If something goes wrong with your access, write to me and I will fix it: contact@italianbylara.com
