These Terms of Use govern your use of italianbylara.com and the coaching services provided by Italian by Lara (Dr Teresa Lara Pugliese). By using this website or booking a programme, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Italian by Lara offers private, one-to-one Italian language and culture coaching sessions delivered online via video call. All programmes are bespoke and built around each individual student.
2. Booking and payment
Programmes are confirmed upon receipt of full payment (or the agreed first instalment where a payment plan has been arranged). Payment details will be provided during the discovery call or by email.
All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are inclusive of all materials provided as part of the programme.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
We understand that life happens. Sessions may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours notice and will be rebooked within the same week. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be counted as used.
No session is ever permanently lost due to reasonable scheduling changes.
4. Satisfaction guarantee
If after your first session you feel the programme is not right for you, you may request a full refund of your programme fee. No deductions, no questions asked. Refund requests must be made within 48 hours of the first session.
This guarantee applies to programme packages only (The Essential, The Signature, The Intensive) and not to single sessions.
5. Intellectual property
All materials provided as part of your programme — including lesson plans, audio recordings, and written exercises — are created exclusively for your personal use. They may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed without written permission from Dr Teresa Lara Pugliese.
6. Conduct
We ask that all students engage with respect and good faith. Italian by Lara reserves the right to end a coaching relationship if conduct is deemed inappropriate, with a pro-rata refund for unused sessions.
7. Limitation of liability
Italian by Lara makes no guarantees as to specific language outcomes, as progress depends on individual effort and commitment. We are committed to providing the highest quality coaching and materials, but results will vary from person to person.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland and the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
